Picture 3: The main principle of the plasma generation

The result of the testing phase is the combination of two methods for the destruction of the harmful substances in the waste air from the paraformaldehyde plant: a) the impact of ionised atoms and molecules on these substances (“Plasma-process”) and b) catalytical oxidation of the substances. Both methods support each other in order to achieve a maximum result.

The picture shows the main principle for the generation of ionised species (= “plasma”) by the interaction of the molecules with the high voltage electric current.
