Revision of the plant concept

The technical plans for the waste air purification unit are revised after offers from four companies for the construction of the unit have been obtained. The result is now a three-chamber-unit (picture 13) instead of the two-chamber-unit (picture 10).

This assembly guarantees a complete treatment of the noxious substances. The experiments with the plasma generator proofed that this method effectively destroys formaldehyde and odorous substances. Now a platinum/palladium catalyst will be used which is known for oxidising ammonia effectively to nitrogen and not to nitrogen oxides. The combination of these methods represents the best possible optimum for the waste air purification. Furthermore, the unavoidable carbon dioxide emission is reduced to the absolute possible minimum.
